KITCHEN ESSENTIALS HOMEWORK

To help us make the most of your appointment, please complete the following steps at least three days prior to your scheduled appointment:

Step 1. Measure your space. We’ve included a helpful video below, along with printable instructions and graph paper to guide you through the process.

Step 2. Take photos of your space. Please take photos of each wall, along with a few full-room shots that show the overall layout.

Step 3. Email your measurements and photos to hello@museresidential.com.

Having these items in advance allows our team to review your space and come prepared for your appointment.

How to Measure Your Kitchen

01

Draw Your Kitchen

Sketch a bird’s-eye view of your kitchen room layout. Make sure to clearly mark the locations of windows, doors, openings, structural bump-outs, and any kitchen islands.

02

Measure the Walls

Measure in a clockwise direction. Record the overall width and length of the space first, and then measure each individual wall section, doorway and window separately.

03

Windows & Doors

Measure the overall outer width of windows and doors (including casing trim). Note the height of the windows and the distance from the bottom of the window to the floor and/or the countertop.

04

Mark Key Features

Indicate the centerline positions for the kitchen sink and any major appliances such as fridge and range.

05

Ceiling Height

Measure the vertical distance from floor to ceiling and note any changes in ceiling height, ceiling beams, or drop ceilings.
